Founded in 2018, Aconites Rugby is a women-led team built on determination, discipline, and a shared mission to grow the sport in Lebanon. What began as a small group of athletes has evolved into an internationally recognized squad proudly representing Lebanon at major tournaments such as the Istanbul Beach Rugby League and the HSBC Dubai 7s. Their mission is centered on empowering women through rugby, developing skilled athletes, strong leaders, and a culture rooted in teamwork, inclusivity, and resilience. They are by women, for women, driven by passion.

Despite rapid growth and rising competitive standards, Aconites continues to navigate major challenges common to women's grassroots sports in the region. The team trains consistently, but lacks access to a dedicated field, sustainable facilities, and the funding required for high-level coaching, physiotherapy, and recovery support. Travel costs for international competitions, equipment updates, and infrastructure limitations place significant financial strain on players and staff. As a self-funded team pushing to raise the standard of women's rugby in Lebanon, these challenges fuel their determination to keep moving forward.
The Wolverines' contribution plays a transformative role in the Aconites' journey. Their support directly covers essential expenses such as training kits and field costs, enabling the team to train consistently, maintain professional standards, and continue building a competitive environment for women in rugby.
