High School Scholarship
I grew up in a farming family on the mountain, helping with agricultural work from a young age. I attended a small rural school and in high school studied at a school very far from town where teaching was not intensive. Because of this I taught myself by reading textbooks, studying on my own to prepare for the university entrance exam. In high school I achieved a cumulative GPA of 4.0.
I want to pass the medical faculty entrance exam so I can become a doctor and return to help people on the mountain, and to provide educational opportunities for others.
I started working from elementary school, helping my parents grow chili peppers in the garden on holidays and after school every day. In secondary school I went out for daily labor jobs — chili picking and cleaning work. In high school I took graphic design commissions, making posters and presentations, while also continuing daily chili picking and helping at the family garden.
During school breaks I often go to the temple to help with work there and join volunteer activities with the temple community. I consistently help with community work such as visiting the elderly, checking for dengue mosquito larvae, and helping with public health activities. At school I organize study groups for friends in mathematics, chemistry, and biology, tutoring before every exam.
I want to enter the Faculty of Medicine because I want to return and work in my hometown to help my own remote community that still lacks adequate healthcare access — issues of distance, language barriers, and insufficient medical personnel. I want to be a doctor and come back to work on the mountain where I grew up.
