Grit Story

My parents sacrificed everything so that they could give me an education and help me become the best version of myself, even when it seemed difficult in light of the economic situation and the war in Lebanon. Now in Med3, having successfully passed Med1 and Med2, I carry their hopes in every step toward becoming a doctor.

Academic Path

I want to finish my medical degree, hopefully at the top of my class, so I can pursue residency in the US and come back to practice in Lebanon and support the Lebanese community.

Work History

In summer 2020, I worked at Pizza Nini's call center. Once in university, I worked in the financial aid office, earning extra aid that counted towards my tuition

Community Impact

During last year's war in Lebanon, I helped organize donations of food and essential needs for displaced families in shelters, plus game nights and singing gatherings. This project is still ongoing today, and it taught me that service means presence, not just material aid.

Future Aspirations

I want to be a physician who brings hope as much as treats illness, and thus plan to specialize in oncology. I plan to train in the US then return to Lebanon to serve my community. This path is deeply personal: my parents sacrificed everything for my dream, and I hope one day to repay them.
