I grew up on a mountain without electricity or mobile signal. I had to come down and live in a dormitory for educational opportunities. Every Saturday and Sunday I returned home to help my family — carrying pumpkins and cabbage, and weaving cloth to help my mother earn income. Although our situation was not good, it made me patient, strong, and determined to develop myself.
I grew up on a mountain without electricity or mobile phone signal. Healthcare access was quite difficult — when community members fell ill they often could not get to the hospital because it was far from the village. This is why I want to study Community Public Health — to bring knowledge back to help care for people, promote health, and improve the quality of life of mountain people so they can access healthcare more easily.
From childhood I helped my parents work in the fields and garden alongside my studies — carrying cabbage and pumpkins, helping with various agricultural tasks. I also helped my mother weave cloth to earn supplementary income while studying. These experiences have made me hardworking, patient, and responsible.
I participate in the community by helping with Village Health Volunteer (VHV) work — disseminating health information and facilitating services for villagers. I also help with village communal activities. Having seen the problem of healthcare access for mountain people, I am committed to bringing knowledge back to help develop the quality of life in my community.
I am studying to complete a bachelor's degree in Community Public Health because I want to be a professional who promotes health and develops quality of life in the community, especially in remote areas. In the future I want to use my knowledge to help provide care, prevent disease, and create maximum benefit for society.
